Hey guys

My friend has a FG Monster truck seems to be having issues

It has tuning front brakes cable ..hitec with 180 oz running rear stock brake and disc....wasn't pulling very good...front or rear...he adjusted them and seems to be braking better....

But now if he shuts radio off , truck idles..but for some reason cable never goes back to idle....

Has to have failsafe kick it ...idles fine....turn transmitter on car idles up..
Only way is to hold brake on but as soon as u let off idle creeps up

Any ideas? ??

Thanks

Linkage back to the brakes - it can get sticky for a variety of reasons. It should slide freely in the slider on the servo arm.
It is limited by collets either side, with either springs and / or fuel tubing.

It's seems to slide back and fourth ok...sometimes it stays too far up but with the truck off,it runs perfect.

Could it be a servo issue?,

Try it - motor off, motor on.
If the plug's old, sometimes the 'R' (resistor type) doesn't seem to work and the sparking seems to affect the transmitter signals.

Simply switch on Tx / Rx, no motor and pull the accelerator a few times then see where the rods return to.
Next, try same, with the motor fired up, accelerate a few times (could remove the driven wheels if you like or lift it up - care of fumes, noise, etc.) and then see where the rods return to.
