I purchased a aluminum main Gear carrier plate for FG but my rear brake won't mount to it. Is something I can do other than move to mech disc brakes? I have disc on front

Is this the one you bought?

This site is a great source of easy reference, and offers excellent service every time.

This replaces the normal plastic mount and uses the layshaft option disc brake.
To fit rear disc brakes .... going the FG route will cost an arm and a leg, so you may have to get a little inventive!

There's a different alloy plate to the one I've indicated, but this mounts onto the offroad quick-release ...... get the picture ..... you'll end up changing a lot for not really that much.

Found part I need from link below Pt#7040/01. Could not find that part at DDM were I bought the bearing plate. Thanks for link I will see if I can get it shipped to USA.

Glad we could help.
I've had that on mine.

Most swear by disc on wheels fronts, layshaft rear - similar to yours.

I'm about to complete an all-wheel disc installation on my MT - not really recommended as dirt gets into the rear discs if you're seriously bashing - which I won't be as it cost too damned much, but I still don't believe in shelf queens - still gets a good workout when able!!

Thanks all I had this part for 6 months but I guess I never researched properly. Ordered now. Going to rebuild Diff next. It is the only part that is showing wear. Also waiting for arrival of my KM 30.5 2 speed next Tues. Now I will have two 1/5 to up-keep!
