I thought you'd like to see my 'new- look' to my FG MT5.
The alloy wheels are from JA Racing.
The tyres are a PERFECT fit, using the MCD tyres and I've fitted FG MT tyre inserts.
I've a few teething problems at the moment, so I cannot comment on performance. I think the LOOK is just about perfect !!!
YES, it's 'kin' heavy !! - about 18+ kg now !!
What do you think ?
THIS IS NOT A SHELF QUEEN - perhaps a little in-between !! :laugh::laugh:

I was trying to get the correct 'look'.
Beadlocks - to me - just don't look right, of the ones available.
RC4WD make nice Monster Jam replica beadlocks, but they don't fit the square drive, and the diameter was even smaller - disc brakes and arms couldn't fit inside the wheel ....
I know these don't even have the 'fake bolts' of the FG plastic ones, but they DO look good, and they're relatively well protected by the extended walls of the tyres.

In the future, if I can locate MJ-look (i.e. with the orbital centre part) ones, I'll definitely consider it.
These are fine, and the finish was superb - fit of the tyres was easy. Gluing ... not my favourite job! I used Medium, as it's a little thicker and gives you some time to align and insert properly, and then after really feeding in, and leaving to set for a day or 2, I went around again to fill in the gaps.
Then I went around the rims with Brasso !! Result !! :balloon:

I would say they are equivalent to FG 'medium'.
They are about 2cm - best part of 1" - wider and square.

I had it running before I realised I had a (temporarily) serious radio fault and stopped it.
Traction was miles better and the tires held up to my attempted burnouts - testing the electronics of course!!

No worries.
They do, and they don't - if that makes sense.
They are the same design, and the plastic ones even have more detail, yet there's something about 'alloy' - I've got that Trebor bling disease I reckon, but just don't have the machine shop to back it up .... !! :D
(It's a compliment actually Keith !!)
