For a good STANDARD one, I would guess you start at about £450 with radio, then work upwards.
Modifications are only ever partially recovered, so a highly modified one in good condition might go for £750-1,000. The owner would definitely want more, as he's probably spent an extra £500-750 on the STANDARD one he probably bought second hand.

Agreed about the modifications costs - mine's already cost me £580 initially - it came with alloy front and cable brakes + alloy mounts, front and rear bumpers + wheelie bar.
I've added an alloy rear, alloy cage where possible, 4x servos - 2x Rhinos, 2x Savox - then DDM high end Dominator, ball drives, alloy wheels, MCD tyres, 'chrome kit' for the engine ... yup. I've added ~£900 ... oh, and the custom body for ~£200-250 !!!!!

you will be hard pressed to get a comp cheaper anywhere than ddm at the moment, don't know how they do it, local FG distributer here in oz is more expensive but you will save a little on shipping and the follow up service is second to none.
