Can some one answer this for me. Whats better having the two shocks on each corner or one. The Better pro and the other FG monsters have two but once you go 4wd that drops you down to one per corner. Is one better or is done just for room?

I think you will find mate they are single on the new 4wd version because of the different legs and shafts on the front so no room for 2!!
keep the lot on mate, lets face it they look more trick!!

What do you think of the independent sprung weight.
2 shocks to my mind is a bouncing ball.
With 1 copy he is easier to adjusting, and is more than enough for a monstertruck from FG.

handling in corners

What about the handling in corners which is better 2 set up or one? and off-road riding and jumping is the 2 set up more heavy due and can last for longer period?

what FG shock oil is thickers? 1000 or 2000? Im not sure how to understand between the numbers...

Also, is it OK to run other brand shock oils? How do I determine the different between other brands?

Check other threads !!!!!!!!
I was told when I asked, it was 2500 default.
I've got 4000 on the front, 5000 on the rear, read and blue springs respectively, BUT I reckon 5000 is better on the front also.

(I received mine with 700 in, in double springs, and bouncy ball isn't the word!!)

So the higher the number, the more "thicker" the effect??

So there is no problem removing four of the eight shocks on a FG Monster? Will the remaining shocks hold up for the weight or do I risk bending the shocks with just one i every corner?

the Fg shock oil goes down to 1000 which is the:nono: thinest they do now MCD oil goes lower with a 250 oil... and is good for all round with 8 shocks using standard pistons and standard springs

any heavier oil using the standard bits and the rear end of the truck will try and bog down and not return to ride height

now thats part of the problem some guys on here have using thicker oil in the shocks then they have to buy stronger springs to counter act the thick oil

then there are the pistons with the holes in lol the list can go on and on but my opinion keep all 8 shocks and try a thin oil:clown:
