Hello Mates. So Im back at it again. I want to see how fast my FG sportline can get up to. Basically I want to get max speed out the thing. So Im thinking about converting it from a 4WD to a 2WD. From what I can see so far it should be doable. In theory just remove the front diff and the belt drive right?? Also remove the front drive shafts and cups and whatever else.

Has anyone out there done this before and what were the results??

I already know the handling is going to be different and the characteristics of the car will change but Im looking for more speed mostly on straightaways. Ive got an OBR in there now so I know it'll scream once converted and if i dnt like it or get tired of 2WD I can always convert it back but Ill like to know.

Thanks

You've answered your own question.?
You can simply remove driveshafts to get an idea of how it'll run.
Yes it'll work, shouldn't have any problems. You'll probably have to make some adjustments to compensate for handling in becoming 2 wheel drive.?

Ok Thx Striikar.
I guess i can try the driveshafts first. then step up and remove the belt and front diff to reduce weight and drag. Im wondering if ill have to add a lil weight iin the front to make it more stable. Guess ill find out once i get to that point.
