Well today i was checking my fg diff out and I notice that I could spin one of the rear wheel and hold the other side and it wouldn't spin the other wheel . My question is what diff wt to use to have both wheels move with a just little slip??

what diff is in your car? if its the stock plastic, or even the non adjustable aluminum diff you wont have much success filling it with oil. nothing is sealed in this diff, it will just leak everything out in a short time. been there done that, ive even tried to seal the outputs and housing, just doesn't work. your best bet is to fill it with grease to keep it lubricated. an open diff is best for parking lots and roads.

in cars like these if you want to limit diff action you need an adjustable diff or some variety (fg makes an adjustable, adjustable 2 and 4 clutch, viscous, and powerlock style diffs)

If it is the standard diff, Contrast do a very good & sticky white grease (don't know what so special about it) but it works very well in all the open diffs I've used.

I looks like an FG adjustable diff to me and although it's years since I've used one, I'd suggest trying to adjust it first and see how it is, then have a look inside to see if any is broken. the thing is, unless your diff is 100% locked you will be able to spins 1 wheel and hold the other as most diffs I know of work under power rather than on the bench.

ok

so you hold the dif itself and spin a tire, the other side doesn't spin?

have you checked the setscrews on the wheel squares?

No when I hold the diff and spin on side the other side spins too but when I hold the other side down won't spin, only one tire spin.

I Checked setscrew and it's good

Well today I went to the park to test the fg sport and the needles were completely of setting went 9 mph more very happy on that side , But now I have a big problem won't go straight I tighten the diff screw and nothing . Looks like one wheels is getting more power than the other so it always spin out to the left side . Well I am going to take apart the diff soon to see what's up with it's very frustrating :( What oil should I use on the type of diff i have ???

you don't use oil in these diffs, you use a little grease on the gears for lubrication. the adjustable diffs don't use fluid for limiting diff action, its all based on pre-load.

Are these Diff good??

I just keep having trouble with this diff:o

You can only tell how tight a diff is by gunning it full throttle.
It's only when flat out the weights fly out and the diff locks.
The proper grease to use is CV (molybdenum) gease, black horrible messy stuff.
Specially designed to take lots of punishment through gears and drives.
