Anybody do any business with FG supply? I called em on thursday trying to get a part on the way for my buggy, the dude took my cc info, name, address, phone ect, said he would check stock avail and call me back in a half hour.
I called them back two hours later to check the status, was told he was not in the office and to call back later. I called back an hour and a half or so later and got the answering machine? I'm new to FG, need parts/service, and I guess am not used to this type of practice from manufacturers/suppliers, coming from large scale helis (still fly) where most guys are willing to answer questions, call you back etc....

Hopefully I hear something from this guy next week, not sure whether to order from somewhere else or what?

FG supply is reputable company, & I don't know why you were not contacted back. FG parts can be extremely hard to get here in the U.S., so be prepaired.

They are closed on Fridays and Mondays due to the downturn in the industry and economy. They are a good company, there is no other company in the US that can give you better tech support and knowledge about these FG vehicles.

Yep angel is a good guy he has given me much advice on my fgs. so kinda give him another shot. the best thing to do is order online. some times i think it's a one man show but he still does his best to git things out on time.
also you can try bmihobbies.com

Yep, was him hawing around today wondering if I should call again and right about that time, mailman showed up with the parts?!!
Yea, great service, fast shipping, not much for conversation though? Thatz cool too.., I still needed the parts, so its all good. I took your advice and placed another order with him online, I had forgot some items from the other day.
Thanks for the feedback, good to know whats up.

I called and emailed in late January wanting to buy 5 bodies from them and I'm still waiting on a call back that never came. Glad to here the good feedback. I guess I can give them another shot too.

i don't really give shots i go with what folks say. have you heard of largescalerc.com? never had a problem. i thought i was missing battery, he sent me one right away. i called him back cause i found it. he said hell send it anayway. troys pretty good to work with.

Didnt Realize he's THE source for FG parts. Good guy too, I've ordered several more parts from them and its always a day or two and it shows up at the house. He's also tracking down/ordering from Germany the part I need to get the beast back in the dirt. FYI don't bang up your Baja buggy, parts are scarce already, and I'm buying up whats left!!!:2guns:

I do all my business thru largescale r/c...never had a problem..If you have any fg 1/5 scale it's smart to buy the parts most likely to break beforehand...keep a bunch of extra parts in the tool-box...you wont have to wait as much for parts.

Large scale Rc has given me the impression they are no longer going to push the FG series cars, rather the MCD lineup. I bought my kit from them, drove to Indiana to pick it up, they do have a nice facitlity, large shop, but are used to dealing with customers online only in my opinion.
THis thread was to question the performance level of FG supply. Which has proven to be a quality supplier. If your looking for FG PARTS then call FG supply, if your looking for universal parts/hpi/mcd stuff call Innovative.

What 1/5 dealer isn't used to dealing online only..theres only a hand full of them thru-out the country.yes fg is a quality supplier, just takes forever to get parts..If there is another option use it..AS far as largescale pushing the mcd over the fg it's because thats what they sell more of...The redcats have changed the face of 1/5 scale r/c..with fg being stuck in the middle...they are 500 dollars cheaper than a fg,4wd,and a ton of parts that are easy to get..they cant keep'em in stock.they are the reason fg now has 4wd.and hpi will have to make a 4wd or exit the 1/5 scale market..For the people who want the top end,(fg or mcd) it's just easier to kick in a few more bucks and get the best (mcd)..There parts are more compatable with other 1/5 scales..I'm not bashing fg,i love my monster beetle.

King Cobra Dist. is the only source I guess I would feel ok ordering from overseas. I called them on monday, looking for a lower aluminum a arm, they don't have it either!

Thanks for the links, struck out at both as far as my "special" part goes. I got a hold of DDM, coughed up the cheese, now the wait begins.........
