FG tank and brakes on XTM/Carson/Smartech

Anyone know if the FG rear brakes work on the Carson, the ones on the gear carrier? The one on my Cousins disintegrated, as well as the fuel tank sprung a bad leak at the seam. Does the FG tank fit as well.

Any help is appreciated.

hi acording to the http://www.pitstop-shop.nl/ they have said no on their web but the petrol tank is a yes check it out on the left hand side scrolldown to all kinds and theirs your answer hope that helps

Being that Tower is out of brakes, and all sorts of things that would be good to have who else carries Duratrax Firehammer brakes and parts?

If you were referring to FG MT disc brakes to Attack/Traveller/Firehammer then the answer is no. The FG brake hub is much larger than Carson.

Alright, thanks for the links and the help everyone.

So as far I as Understand FG Tank = Yes FG Brake Discs = No

So here goes another question, can you adapt the FG brake hub to the Carson Chassis. And has anyone had similar problems? Its hard for me to help my cousin as he lives far away and I am not as knowledgeable with the Carson/Smartech Platform. Now can you use FG Front and Rear Disc brake kits on the Smartech Platform? And has any one used or known of any use for this kit on Ebay?

FG Front brakes should fit, all you need is longer hub to accommodate the disc and it mechanicals. Both FG and Smartech uses square hub not like HPI which uses hex hub. I have front disc brakes on my Traveller that came off from FG Marder and works like a charm........lol

I don't think FG tanks fit, at least not without drilling new holes in the chassis.

I have a FG tank in my carson CRT its a tight fit but it does fit.

Are you running an outwears cover on your tank? If not you think it will fit?

no i'm not, the trouble is that it's a very tight fit against the centre roll bar upright.
