FG tank and brakes on XTM/Carson/Smartech

Looks good Gunner. I have always preferred the fuel caps on the FG tanks compared to the Duratrax tanks.
 
I was wondering is it possible to re-drill the tank mounts, or maybe the front roll cage mount. By re-drill I mean the holes? Would that provide more room?
 
You guys want FG and I would love to put my FHbuggy tank on my FG. I have no pressure release besides the one on the tank cap and that only sputters out fuel through the hole and if tightened too tight it builds up and spurts out the air from around the the inlet grommet so the FH's with the extra pressure release tubing is way better. I know i could get a better cap but oh, well.:blush:
Plus the FH's tank is only 5-$7.00 that is a great price for a fuel tank. Can be purchased from any DTX dealer.
 
I was wondering if anyone has had issues with their Fuel Tanks leaking, or cracking? Also any weather issues, like more brittle on cold and separation of the seam in the hot?

I have read about many people with seam failures even out of the package. DTX's service will replace it if you send them an email showing a photo of the failure.

Yep, its quick release. I bought it from DPS

I do too have leas issue with my tank, mind mine is pretty old and haven replace the outlet nor the breath hose................I know I should. But the tank itself is okay so far even after I bent the chassis:boat:
 
I like that cap Monster..Mothers Day is coming up....I wonder if I can swing that with the kids?...Appropriate, seeing that my wife is always calling me a "Mother something"...I can never remember what that second word is:clown:

Monster, when you go to Hoxton Park for a bash (near the airport), do you enter via Cowpasture Rd?? I'm out that way a couple of times a week for work, and am thinking of throwing the FHMT in the back of the ute, and turning the mobile off for a couple of hours of peace!
 
The cap is awesome mate. You're not alone mate, I already asked my wife if she wants a new rc for mothers day........lol.

I bash right in the airport next to M7 and yes enter via cowpasture rd. We are bashing there this weekend most likely Sunday but I might be there this Saturday if I get my new servo in time.
