Yes, That is the first time I have broken it it all summer, so I can't complain.
I have a sizable jump that I made and had not broken it all year. Running it on the
ground in what seemed a harmless maner and woola!! $150.00 bucks.
I don't care, I break them all the time. In my mind it validates spending more money
on upgrades!

Been there done that.:innocent:

Only went through two outdrives in many years. Most of the time it seems they bust when your easy on them.:crying:

Yes, more on the middle and top end.
It will rev to the moon with the boost bottles.
With out them there is a noticable drop in top end rev's.

It sounds like your low speed needle is a bit lean, richen it about 1/16-1/8 of a turn. It sounds like it has a bit of a low-end stumble. The video was pretty decent, but I think the cameraman should be in the sun if that is where you are going to run your truck. The best plan would be to run the truck in the same lighting as the camera. When you run into the sunlight, the picture bleaches out and you can't see it anymore. I know I am just nitpicking, but you asked. But like I said, richen the LS needle and I think you will lose that low-end bog.

Just my 2 cents,

Trip..

Thanks for the post but what you are hearing in the vid is not low end stumble.
It throttle control on my part. It has a highly moded 28.5cc in it and it just spins violently. Even at a slow speed you have to roll in to the throttle or it is all over the place. So, this clears up the low end bog question.
The camera man is my wife which was her first time. We aware of lighting and camer positions. I purposely had here up on a pic-nick table so she would not be hit.
I also have posted a Baja vid on this forum.
Check it out, Im sure you will have problems with it also. I thought this was a forum to share and chat. Not to judged and creticed. Funny to me that out of both post on this forum you are the only one to be critical i have meet.
Must be nice to know everything.
Just my two cents!

You had your wife up on a pick nic table,LMAO! I did the same thing! I shot a vid and i slammed into her leg at about quarter throttle, that's when i told her to get up on the table, she didn't get hurt or nothing and it was funny at the time. But if you think about it,these big ol things could do some damage at full speed!

I did it myself. I used to race cross country(Paul Koontz Series) here in(WV) in my younger day's. I am a machinist by trade so I have pretty much unlimited resources.
So I alway did my own race motor's, so I just applied my race knowledge.
A 2 Stroke is a 2 stroke of course but these little mill's have even less part's than a 250cc engine. I think for as cheap as these little mills are they have alot of potential.
I am in the process of trying to convert one to run on alcohol.
I have had moderate success but keep blowing the connecting rod's ( 2 engines so far) and ruining the engine. I am machining a new heavy duty rod out of some t-6(5356) alloy aluminum. I also am making a piston from that same material. There will be some heat treating etc.... after manufacturing. I have some experience in these because I build Brig's and Strat's alcohol's for my brother's sons go cart's he races.
BUT for the ammount of run time I did get before failure is nothing short of
HOLLY S$$T!!!!!

Trip,
I want to apologize for being rude and quick to judge from your post on page one.
I know you were voicing your opinion and I apologize for the way I reacted. It was immature and I should not have reacted so childishly.
Thanks for your opinion and hope to chat with you again.
Chip
