i own an FG MB Pro, gutta say from day one (with the exception of a few hop-ups) no more than £80 its been bullet proof! had it for about 6 years now & still going strong :)

ive since upgraded it alot, not cuz it needed it, but cuz i wanted to! :D

However ive been toying with the idea of getting a Hurrax Pyrad, they look nice & look very well built. But for time being... FG ALL the way \o/

Also a plus for the FG - you can change between a marder, beetle, MB or MT for not much outlay and there is also the 4wd system available :D

I've also owned several different models:

FG's - MT,MB,Marder Race Leopard Race, Baja 4wd
Harm sport
Lauterbacher Supercross L3
HPI Baja
Contrast Fuego
Elcon Cleon

I've also build a few more that weren't mine. :D

HPI Baja was the worse to work on for me out of all of these. The Elcon was the best kit I've ever build and ran.

love fg all the way regret that i keep selling my fg marders so will hopfully be back into them once built from scratch, not sure if to build a marder or the leopard yet thou.
never had a problem at all with my first marder even crashed it into a tree..... not a mark just one screw undone itself.... simply fix
there great and hope fg stay in the business for a very long time so that when my sons old anoth i can get into with me :)

FG are the dogs danglies.I have owned more that 10 of them but decided to get a Baja for bashing where we do.Everytime out thr Hpi's break whereas the FG were virtually bullet proof!
I'll be getting another FG ,probably the 4x4 Leo.

voo2doo, i agree what your saying but guess what? where as i test for innovative-rc we have decided to make alot of hpi baja parts and i know you have come acress these parts such as the shocks which ive been testing for 2 years also we make parts for fg so to me a baja will outrun an fg because of the length of the chassis this i know because we have tested both. i don't know if you agree. but an fg couldnt do this.bearing in mind the fg on road cars still cant do this.video of our innovative-rc on road baja tuned engine enjoy!

Are you saying a baja will beat the F1 or an FG onroad on a on-road track?
Or off road? The video you link is of a baja on a on-road track.

a longer chassis will jump better but a shorter chassis will do tighter corners better. I have an fg f1, 535mm wb and a 4wd. the f1 is very stable but can't handle a tight corner track as well as say the vw but high speed stability give it to the f1. to say an hpi baja will outdrive a dedicated on road car in their environment is really stretching it though. only way a baja can keep up to my f1 on our track is if they cut across all the corners LOL. and I can prove that one
