That's an original idea ..... not!!

Should be really solid and good quality from FG 'though.

That is something to look forward to, even if it's a little late.
It'll have to be REALLY good, with the 5SC and the 5ive out there.

Al.

Trucks look good.
Decals on the SC crap!!
What the hell are those Mercedes headlamps and Rolls-Royce grille decals doing on it? !!

You guys have made the Leopard work well in racing.
Let's hope the SC 'trucks' approach the suppleness of the 5SC and 5ive, and not be another over-bouncy, limited suspension movement, fantastically well engineered FG ....

Another for Keith's shelves I reckon - my money's on the Beemer!!

the good news is theres going to be 535mm chassis knocking about within a year that will fit marders and monsters for the long wheel base conversion

If it goes as well as the 4wd then they'll be killer. I know a guy who runs a 4wd buggy on road and a mate of mine in Germany (4wd is bigger there than 2wd racing) and he was very near the top of the championship last year - his brother has the comp versin and thats a great bit of kit too.

Hi Barry, I'm not 100% sure if it's true but I hear the Marder is being phased out, there are a number of lwb MT's, Beetles and truggy cars out soon.

Mike, is this basically the same chassis, but longer for the MT?
I've often been curious of a LWB MT - Alutec make a 535mm Marder/MT chassis - but have never come across an extended side brace to fit.

Al.

that would be there downfall giving up on the marder one of the first and it started the ball rolling for fg

I'm not sure it would, look at the Ford escort - granted not the first car but you get where I'm coming from.
Like I say It's just something I overheard.

mk1 escorts were the best tho and still winning rallys at club level, but fg need to move foward droping the marder wont help, making it better will a nice modern fg marder comp few changes here and there could be a winner,,it would be a said day when they stop making marders if they do

With a LWB MT, does that mean the bodyshell is going to change?

That MIGHT be interesting ....

If the chassis' totally different, I may have to look at the Alutec option, and adapt the new body to fit .....

Just a thought, but I think the wife may have a few things to say first!!
