I just purchased an MT and the guy threw in a set of FG wheels and a yellow flame body for just a few $$ since he's getting out of RC hobby. My question is can you mount these wheels to an MT or is there an adapter you can buy to make it work? I know what you're thinking and I asked him too and he said sold evertyhing else in his shop. The MT is brand new but this hobby had always been an issue with the wife and he gave in to pressure. And the wife received the MT package from UPS, just lost it and started the fight. Nice guy, feel bad for him :( I'll post some pics or vid when I get it. so, can anyone answer my question? Thanks guys.

I thought that's what I needed, but I want to hear it from someone more experienced than me. Thanks Deluge!! :D
Wait! I Just remember Rob mentioned once that Dark Soul would work on my MT too and give me more stance. I'm not sure though if that's what he said :( anyone?

dark soul or ams?

So AMS is the only way to go Rob?

Darksoul makes Baja extenders with 24mm hex. AMS is the only one left making baja to FG adapters.
So, does that mean I only got one choice if we want to use these wheels and mount them to our MT Rob? if you say yes, then I'll go ahead and order it and probably sell the stock MT wheels. Anyone interested? When it comes to recommendations, all of us bashers here in our small town take Rob's opinion like it's engraved in stone, we all used to be nitro drivers till' we found out about 5th scale. The name "Alaska" is synonymous with "hunting...fishing" but it's just not for us small group of RC enthusiasts. We love the smell of burning 2-stroke oil and breaking something when we go bashing. Some of us quit RC bcoz' of nitro's reputation of being so finicky and they quit. then "powerslave" found out about 5th scale by accident and discovered how easy they are to tune and maintain and offer the same characteristics of a weedwacker, we all jumped backed in and started our group of Rampers. Rob helped us a lot by reading all his posts! :D and of course, the rest of you guys as well!! :D You guys cut the learning curve for us down to size otherwise we'd still be guessing what to do when something goes wrong with our ride. Like when forist showed us why my XT kept stalling, turned out it was my gas cap vent and he posted instruction on how to install one and another when my ride won't start. A lot responded by saying to check my red killswitch button coz' sometime they get stuck, and VOILA!! and if you guys weren't here we'd have put a big smile on our local small engine repair shop's face and charge us an arm and a leg for him to fix our problem. Thanks guys!! :D

I believe the AMS adapters is the only choice right now. I brought in 2 dozen of the rears only and they sat for so long, I would never do it again. Some of the UK guys may know another source, but I haven't been able to find any.

AMS it is!

ok, I'll order the AMS then. I'll post some pic or vid of the FG wheels mounted on my MT soon as I get it all squared away. Thanks Rob! ;)
