Well, got up today at 5:45 and went to the man cave to see if I could sort the tourer out.
3 cups of tea later and a few fags I got my act together and went about putting the car together. All sorted and took it for a test run.One word...BULLET !!!!:w00t:
Its pretty quick to say the least but friggin uncontrollable:mad: Its so twitchy its unreal.I have a new set of super soft and soft but never bought them with me.
Any advice on suspension set-ups please dudes will go down a treat.
Thanks
J

get the other tyres on mate,,some toe in on the rear and toe out at the front the rest is just trial and error

the most important thing is get the tyres up to temp and it will all start to happen for car park bashing I don't think set up is as important as if your racing little tweaks make a big difference with these beasts

I've tried my Tourer on a car park with Extra soft tyres and wasn't playing ball.

Same set up, same tyres on a proper RC track was a different story.

I'm told the dust and fine grit on most car parks soon sticks to the tyres and you lose grip.

I only use my MCD on the car park now, and the Tourer on the two closest tracks to me in Halifax and Wombwell.

With warm tyres on a grippy surface I was stunned as to how fast they go, catapulting between corners and screeching on the brakes. Freaking awesome.

You should have a go at Halifax?

Thanks for the reply Ive.
Has anyone had a go of these?[EBAY]221241705000[/EBAY] If they are any better I'll try them out.
Halifax is wayyyy too far away for me Ive,maybe worth it but a bit too far.

They look like wet tyres to me. Will be worse than what you have at the moment I would guess - unless its raining of course :)

Halifax is 105miles for me, Wombwell 90miles, but worth it to get the full potential out of a 2wd alloy Tourer.

You could get a set of tyre warmers, get some heat in them supersofts, to get you going and then work it hard to keep the heat in. Should get you some more grip.

Just think that messing with the setup and suspension is likely to make things worse until you've seen what its like with a good level of grip.

I'm learning the 2wd onroad ropes myself at the moment. Huge learning curve, shrugging off MCD and Baja 'bad habits'!!!

But already I know that if there was a track nearer me I'd ditch the Baja and MCD and run the Tourer full time. :D

when the car is set up correctly it will accel straight no matter what traction you have. yes the tires will spin but the car should go in a straight line even with your hand off the wheel.

I picked up a gopro & was testing it today to learn how to use it. this video shows what I am talking about. my street is dirty & I am running a worn out set of 2012 grp D compound tires. now at the start of the video when I get it into the street I do sort of a figure 8 to get the tires warm. you can see & hear I have know traction but the car still goes straight. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrZ_4zq1fFw&feature=youtu.be
