after a little modification for the Hitec HS-805BB servos (made my own throttle servo mount as well). had to take a little material out of the mounting holes on the servo, maybe .030"-.060" per hole to get the holes to line up to the stock plastic servo mounts, now it fits great. i also took the opportunity to go single servo, i think will be great when i upgrade my battery pack (any direct link suggestions is great). just ran it and seemed a bit sluggish turning but was manageable, i was just happy to fire it up again. BUT... new problem surfaced! i think the rear diff took a poop on me. cvd's/universals all in tact still but it is currently only front wheel drive only, which makes me sad. anyways, take a look at my throttle servo mount (very basic) and any input on battery / rear diff suggestions is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Wow that throttle servo mount is cool, You made that? heck you should make them and sell them. You need to run a 5000mAh battery I run a venom seems like some people are running the battery from DDM also, Not to be an ass but twice now I got rocks stuck on the backside of a rear wheel and I thought I lost rear wheel drive and if you are using the stock radio adjust the steering speed it will help the big thing is with that 5805 you need more battery good luck

i will look in to both, thanks for the replies. yes, i did make the servo mount. have a cnc mill and cnc router at the house and i do programming for cnc laser's/punches as my day job yippee :) . if anyone wants/needs anything i'd be happy to help out. been doing r/c stuff since mom and pop got me my first tamiya hornet. going to check out batteries now, thanks.

Servo mount looks cool.

Yes as cordy said, you probably have a loose drive cup. If the diff went bad you would hear some nice grinding.

Should probably upgrade the throttle servo, as well. You don't want a runaway. As far as the rear diff crapping out, if it's not a loose cup, it could be a diff pin or a broken diff cup.
