Ran the truck today- wanted to start the break in for the ESP 30.5, whoa what a monster. The tires are nice but the engine keeps them spinning- hard to grip....couple times I got them to grab and she wanted to wheelie or at least it seemed..before I left off the gass. I did notice that the chassis does flex like crazy which now I understand all the breakage going on. I have a Sprint roll cage coming- so I'm sure that will help. The chassis must be made out of the lowest grade aluminum money can buy. Anyway, here are some pictures...taken with iphone so no sure how good they are. Oh yeah I know, I still have the stock filter..I will change that sometime.

I just ordered the same wheels/tires from tower and also have a srint cage comming, thanks for the preview. :)
 
it looks really mean with all the black. i would love to see some vid of that motor/pipe combo.


couldnt find any other place to take the pics? deep freezer. got dead animals in there or something? :rolleyes:
 
LOL, I was cleaning my garage today so the wife could park her new SUV.... I had orders....LOL. Nothing looks better than black...oh yeah. Did you guys notice the window in my receiver box? I installed one for the pico switch to be visible. It's all sealed with jb weld.
 
oh ya, i can see it. hopefully it doesn't leak and burn up like my pico.. in my 5b i had the pico in the motor case were the kill switch is. worked perfect for 2 years. had it in my radio box for 5 tanks and now its done..
 
ya and that something that i only buy after i need it. so i only have one left wich is in my tt.. i had clear rtv over it, but it must have leaked and just sat in water or something. it doesn't look like the radio box leaked or anything but its just dead.
 
Speaking of the paint job- I sealed with paint with rubberized undercoating. I than sealed that with aluminum foil tape. The body weighs a ton.......LOL
 
ya, but at least you will be able to flip over and not worry. my mt shell has more glue then paint:D.. it doesn't have one good panel left. i must have glued it 10 times. it has so much glue, i can barely get the body pins in:o
 
I really like the MCD body...fits really good and just looks so much better than the MT body. I painted the MT body a deep purple, I thought I was painting it black....that what happens when you paint at night....with minimal lighting....lol
 
the MCD truck body is probably the one i'm gonna go for


the back of my stock MT body just warped from the heat of the exhaust and the gear :rolleyes:

my pico got wet too and died, I dried it with a heat gun and presto works again...the led is hooped though but who cares. it's now in an oringed fg box sealed tight .
