I have been running CPI pipes now for at least 2 years. I have not run many pipes, as after getting the CPI, I was so pleased I looked no more. For some time I have been trying to get someone with a dyno to do some testing with both the CPI standard and big bore pipes. After starting a tread on HBF in the OBR section asking them if they had thoughts about testing the CPI pipes others posted they would all so like to see some dyno sheets on the CPI pipes.
Sean at OBR received both the standard and big bore CPI pipes end of last week. He just posted the first results. On a 29.5 long rod engine the CPI big bore put out more torque and HP then the Victory Pro. The Victory Pro did have a few more top RPMs. Sean said if they got good numbers on the dyno which they have they will be doing some real time testing where it really counts.
If you want a good performing pipe that is well protected for the HPI and clone Baja take a look at the CPI pipes. Hard to have an all around good pipe from the low RPMs to the high RPMs but in my opinion the CPI pipes comes REAL close. All so the power band of the CPI is very smooth.
