just got it back from the fab shop, young lad did it and did a sweet job. i had it tacked already by a a guy with a mig (big blobbies) and he cleaned it up nice. it was welded off the chassis, i was a bit worried that it'd twist up pretty bad with no jig but I hardly had to tweak it at all to bolt it in.

It's really a brace cos a body off slam onto the roof it will bend it...next one will be 4130 chmoly. Chassis is now well and truly stiff.

Looks good Moo maybe I should offer on in aluminum along with my 4130 chromoly one for those that are unable to purchase a 4130 one at this tough economic time.

sprint77, that would be great, please do it, pm me or post a price.

dang moo, again - that looks great.

thanks guys,I'm real pleased with how it turned out, especially for just eyeballing it. My mt body (what's left of it) had to be cut out a bit at the back to clear it but the desert rat one I have coming should fit straight over the top without any snags.

off to the jumping grounds tomorrow from my first vid...have to find a camera man

Sorry Moo, but I'm kinda disappointed.......I was expecting a skidsteer proof one......oh well, it looks like it will take anything "I" can give it......"YOU" should probably cut the floor out of a safe and use it:D.......seriously, great job Moo and thanks for sharing......

wish i could make up a bunch but this took a few hours with my basic tooling, I'm just ordering 8ft of 4130 3/8 x .065 tube for mk2 that'll be a full roll cage / brace, i want a mad max machine that I can run with no body and can take my abuse and 37 lb dropping on it:D,

I need a machine shop:mad:

.065" wall Man you want to send it thru the frame when you turn it over?
I figure it needs to be pretty tough and i found a dirt cheap source for the tube and rod, i'll be able to gas weld it with oxy/acet bottles myself which is a bonus...i got 8ft of tube coming so it's gonna be braced to hell:eek: wish i could pop round to your shop but it's a bit more than a day trip

looks great moo you guys have some real talent .every day its something new. Moo Why even run a body just put some plexie glass or lexen on it and call it the Moo-Monster

The alloy will bend if 37lb slaps onto it, this ones just a chassis brace... the next one is going to be 4130 and a complete cage so I can run with no body, I'll put either lexan od weld in thin steel or mesh plates for dirt protection. I already have a neat extension of the current design in my head
