What would you suggest on a low budget? Im disabled and only get 2 checks per month, Va and SSI. Been trying to sell off my 1/8 scales, but no luck yet.

The Rovan could be fine - there are plenty sold.

If this suits your budget.

There are stories of cars arrive with shocks half filled, diffs empty of oil, screws loose - basically a lack of quality control before dispatch.
Some parts bend more easily than rivals.

Ideal would be a roller 5ive-T from a reliable source you use as a 'project' and insert your own motor and electronics.
I'm guessing this is too much hassle for now.

DON'T FORGET - set up the failsafe and get a remote kill switch - if it doesn't have one.
(I think all new cars still do not come with a remote kill switch so check this.)

These are just my opinions - others may advise differently.

Al.

Thats what I have been trying to do. I have 2 1/8 scales I am trying to trade for a 1/5 scale. I have a 1/8 Losi xlt monster truck and a 1/8 hpi 3.5 trophy car Im trying to sell or trade. Don't know if I was suppose to put this on here like this, hopefully I don't get in trouble, haven't been a member long enough to post anything. But I have it listed on other sites.

Can't see it being an issue...You've only said you're selling them..not listed an advert as such. - good luck!

Another thing is the extra space to handle such monster in the car and inside the house.

I did not realize what I got into until my first bash, when the whole trunk of the car was filled up with dirt and mud. In the house, had to go to WalMart and buy one of those picnic tables, there was no way my wife was going to let me work in the dining table. I already had one from working on 1/8th, but definitely needed a extra one to be able to have the truck, tools, spare parts. Bought a few plastic shelves, for storage, and a few rubbermaid bins. The smell of weed eater motor will linger in the car for a few days (and in inside the house), compared to nitro, which is almost pleasant, and bad like gasoline with the fumes.

Selling RCs during this time will be tough, most people are prepping up for the holidays, black Friday, on a roll until next year. The same thing that is happening on this forum, not a lot of activity. I visit HPI Baja and losi 5ive, and the same, some people open threads asking where is everybody. I hit the new post, and almost none in the Baja and Losi 5ive, when a few years ago was much more active.

A lot of people have moved to Facebook and created groups there I think....

I have a good size yard and I live in the country, so the woods is my playground.
Lucky you!

I am not that fortunate, but there are plenty of soccer and football fields, away from neighborhoods and children playgrounds.

There used to be some bmx and rc tracks, but thanks to the economic drama, its now all a ghost town. Have taken a small breather from RC and preppin up for the winter which is around the corner in the center states.

Very lucky you, in front of my house I have like a whole block that was never built on, has a playground in one corner, and the rest is well kept grass and a paved oval, well rectangle, all the way around, they even run go-karts there, thats where I run my Baja & FG, it's like a private test track, all the tracks here have been shut down, so we make do with what we can get.
