Today finally I have fired up my new MT.
After 1/2 tank at idle, 2 tank at low rpm for brak in , I start to drive it (almost)..

First time for me drive a RC car (I have 2 gas RC helicopters). It is very funny.

It is hard for me becouse the MT is very fast, I have to learn drive again.

Impression:very solid truck. The only issue is on the rear brake don't work a lot (I have a 5955TG on the TH/BK servo too) expecially when I go on the wet surface (garden etc). I thik I will upgrade it with fron disk brakes but are so expensive...
Other issue is the radio plastic plate... when I use the brake it bend... Same thing alloy radio plate to buy

I read a lot of post on front brake but I don't uderstand well wich is the best servo to control it.. (I want to use the 3rd channel on my radio for it). Can I use one more 5955 or I need something more "light"?

If the brake does not work, I think it is not setup properly. My servos is only 124 oz/in and i had to reduce the brake force so the tail does not wip around when i hit the brake. Check the likage and lever. You only need front brake to reduce tail wip.

I just think front brake is at the bottom of the upgrade list.

Idle first 1/2 tank of gas? yike!! It is not nitro. I've read many post and most agree to use high RPM during break in to seat the piston ring. Just don't hold wide open throtle for more than a couple seconds at a time. Vary your rpm is best for break in.

The rear brake work... Evrything is setup fine... But the truck is very fast and heavy, so stop it in not so easy, specially on the wet garden.
I think have front brake disk help to distribute the energy on more wheels.

What's tail wip?? Sorry for my english but i don't understand it

i just want to mention that i also have an fg and i have upgraded everything.

i reccomend that you purchace the hitek metal gear throttle servo 6592 hs 645 mg thats the one i run and plenty power,also metal geared.

or you could choose the multiplex rino range,quite strong too.

your new fg is going to be fine for a long time if you don't take it off road,if you do intend to run on rough surfaces,u will need eventualy make a few upgrades,i will first list the most basic ones. and then i will list the most important.

basic upgrades for fg mt or beetle pro.
1/alloy engine mounts pair of two large and small.
2/alloy differential.

these two are the most important for a kick off,so after a while you may have to consider these(otherwise cheaper option,keep replacing plastic parts)

now below are a list of vital upgrades.
1/alloy diff
2/alloy diff mounts
3/alloy engine mounts x2
4/alloy rear hubbs
5/alloy wishbone a arms rear lower
6/alloy wishbone a arms upper
7/alloy uprights rear
8/alloy gearplate
9/rear disc brakes
10/alloy shock tower
11/elcon steel diff cover

now if you want to upgrade complete car list also below
1/alloy complete front suspention
2/alloy radio tray
3/front disc brakes
4/alloy hubbs
5/alloy shock tower

there are lots more upgrades you can do in the future too

i would drive your fg untill the parts needs replacing,you have bought a good relibale truck and shouldnt have any problems if you mind it.

My MY is the HT versione that hava some of aluminimu parts that you write

Well dc you forgot the very most important thing..Engine Electronic Pisco Kill Switch
use the 3rd channel on the Transmitter for that...
You loose signal or a run away ..you got massive damage to Rc Unit or another person...
Just my thought here..AKASlawhammer
PS.... Forgot to mention engine screen mod....

Pico kill switch, I hace to connect it on my 3 rd channel radio (spectrum 2.4Ghz) but I want to use this channel for a future servo front bakes....

How can I do?

Where can I find other brand fail safe kil switch that I can connect in a occuped radio channel?

yes slawhammer good thinking.

i presumed he would have allready a failsafe with the car.
but that engine failsafe is a great investment along with the engine screen mod and pullstarter mod.

how do you wire up that engine fail safe slaw?
 
I have already a failsafe with the car from the radio (hit the brakes)

Let me know, if you have some information, wich kill engine fail safe I have to buy keeping free the 3rd channel

dc..I don't want to stomp on this fellows thread..But only to help out here..
The TX fail safe will not kill the engine...You have to use 3rd channel..For Pico kill switch
As to front breaks I have them..hooked the cable to the Throttle/brake servo..
same as you use the lay shaft brake..Maybe there's a picture in my project..
If not I can post 1 with the front break hook up...You can use a Y-splitter cable also
from the throttle/break servo for 2nd servo if need be...AKAslawhammer

Front Break hook Up

No problem my friend..where all here to help each other out on the RC units..
Ok in the picture ..you will see the break cables come to the stop guide..on top of my tower support system..then the cable block.. to pull the brake inner wires to make the brakes work..In the center.. is a metal rod going to the throttle/brake servo...
My set-up will be a little different than yours will be..I have a firehammer
But this will give you a idea..

But I think I will connect my future front brake servo with a Y with my throttle/brake servo..
And the pico switch on the 3 channel. Now It is clear

Glad to help..make sure the engine kill switch is the MODFIED Pico kill switch..

Check out DDM on right side of forum there a sponsor to the site..you want item #tt554
In DDM home page..in search box.. type in that number..should bring up the kill switch..
The site you show diemenisonengineering the mfg..but that one is not modified...
