Last weekend I finally ran my XT. First of all, I must say I'm running it at 3300ft high, with Baja air filter.
Started OK, but as soon as I started driving it, noticed a bog causing a "hole" on acceleration. My first thought was "thin air, so let's give the thing a bit less fuel". Wrong move, as this made things worst. Richened it at small steps, and almost half of a turn later the bog was gone.
However, opening the LSN also causes the idle to get lower and lower, to the point I ended with the idle speed screw all the way in, and it's still on the edge of an extremely low idle.
On the other hand, on the second tank I started to try some faster passes, just to find out that the engine was not accelerating past half rpm. "Too rich", I thought. Wrong, once more, it was starving on fuel, had to open the HSN almost 3/4 of a turn to get it running better.
As I'm not at sea level, I really thought that I would have to tune it leaner than factory settings, but reality showed the opposite.
I would really appreciate some other opinions about it
