Do to many things and my situation I have not run my 5b since January 1st 2010. So this past week I said surely the TX and RX packs are shoot but after cycling them a couple times they came back to life to my surprise.

Every time I get done running my 5b for the day or after a race weekend I drain the tank and start the engine till most of the gas is gone and the engine will not hit any more. I all so put SeaFoam in my gas.

So I mixed some fresh gas filled the tank and thought surely the carb is going to be gummed up. Sure enough it seemed like it was not getting any fuel to the motor. I put a few drops down the pug hole and hit once. I was just about getting ready to put another carb on when she came to life.

I ran a tank through it today and stopped one time. When I went back out to fire it up had to choke it but started right up.

No problems with it the whole tank of fuel but my yard is tore all up big time. LOL It ran so well with the stock 26 with CPI pipe not sure I need to put either my just built ported GP290 or my ported 30.5 with big bore CPI pipe. Wrong you know I am going to try them. LOL

You mean Sea Foam? Been around for YEARS. Is a gas stabilizer, fuel system cleaner amoung other things. On 4 cycle engines you can use it in both the fuel and oil. Most auto parts store in the US sell it. Probably the only thing that made mine still start after setting for over 1 1/2 years. Here is a link.

That is a fairly complete list of what I have on it now with the other motors and pipe I will be testing. But always adding something new. It does not look as clean now as in the pictures as the pictures where taken when it had very little run time on it about 2 1/2 years ago right after putting my standard CPI pipe on it. LOVE THAT PIPE!
 
hi bud glad you had a great day and the car performed good after not running for awhile i do the same when i store my car i run it dry then oil the cylinder and piston will stop any corrosion
