fitting a dominator pipe to an xb?

has anyone put a dominator pipe on their xb? i have one but unfortunately i don't have my xb near by. im looking to cut/fit the pipe and weld it tomorrow before i get my xb back. i know you have to cut the flange off the pipe and add an extension piece of pipe between the two and weld it all back together. what i need to know is how long is that piece of pipe? the dominator pipe i have that im fitting is for an hpi 5b. i have seen this done on other buggies before just never got the specs on the extension piece. any pics or descriptions i can get in the next 24hrs would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.
