Pic above are the shockers in question.

Hi There!

First post and asking for help (a little dumb i know)

I have a customer who is having trouble with his MCD racerunner (we have a shop here in the UK and King Cobra are trying to tell us to use some 'black fuel line' to solve this issue)

Basically we are trying to fit some big bore shock absorbers to a none ultimate car. We have aluminium shock towers on the front end, and standard shockers at the moment. However when we come to put the shocker into the space between towers, we are finding quite a lot of play between the shocks and the aluminium spacers. When we questioned KC about the bushes in the top of the shockers, they told us to use some black fuel line (£150 shock absorbers, and using fuel line?!)

Any help appreciated, and pics available on request.

r the shock tower ultimate ones or the standard ally ones? Check my album. Mine r the ultimate ones, an they come with different ally spacers.

I have fitted elcon shocks modified with king cobra 5.0mm shock shafts all around my evo 3.
I had the same problem with slight play in the tower width so as suggested used some rubber fuel line to make up for the play. Have been running with no issues. Unless you can find the correct size/width collets made of plastic or alloy, the fuel line is a quick easy fix.

Mouse, good question.... I am also going to be doing the same thing.
My answer is to take some alloy rod of desired thickness and measure
with a caliper and cut to length. Once mine are in I am having some
brass collet made up. Along with the Inertia Racing Turnbuckles.. they
will be a tough set up.
