I'm thinking of fitting a set of brakes, cable or hydraulic, on the front of me Marder. Will they fit onto the existing front hubs or do you need to modify/replace the standard hubs ??

From what I know they're a straight fit.
Some require an adaptor plate, that normally comes with the kit.

I've only had alloy hubs, but I think the mouldfor the plastic ones is the same, if you have plastic.

If it's a used set, get photos and ask questions.
If they're new, or you can find them on Hobbythek, they'll have plenty of photos on the site there.

Basically, if there's a specific kit, just ask the supplier some questions.

I have cable brakes on the front of me baja....make sure you still have some form of rear brakes as fronts only are useless...I just kept locking the front wheels up and ploughing on..

they help loads when used with a rear and then the car felt very balanced..

mine are on alloy hubs..never had plastic so cant help on that one....

i have cable brakes on my marder with plastic hubs, never had a problem, they work great,am looking into some hydros for the front of theht2.
