Two of them don't have the hole for the set screw and just so you know i got two kits and they are exackly the same.

Hi,

Looks great, waiting for the feedback after you run them. On the first picture looks like the 6mm and what you receive are the 10mm, right?

Cheers.

Whoz.

And the first picture is the one they have on their site my concern is that there is no ring on my kit and i only got two set screws that take care of on cvd but i need two more for the other one

Ok I have the older style crush collar kit for the front, the two different barrels, one looks like the old crush collar design, the set screw type is the one you use on your kit. Does all the barrels have threaded ends? You are missing two set screws for what I can see.

The crush collar design had a flaw in design if you used the 7075 hubs and carriers, and without limiting straps. The would bind up upon suspension droop. All those problems are solved on both sides now. Contact flm for missing set screws or go pick some up at local hobby shop.

I am awaiting my xbe center driveshaft kit from them for the 7075 chassis. It was a custom order though.

solid barrels are are not used with set screw type, only the crush collar type uses them.

Got you i call them about the set screw cause they are making the kit incomplete
Did you get them from large scale rc or FLM direct? Jamie will get parts right out to you, I have had great dealings with them. Shoot them an email with needed parts and they will send them right to you.

No i got them from largescalerc

He is correct, The barrels with no threads in them are for the version 1 CVD's. I was the one working with Jamie to eliminate the crush collar. The collar would not fit stock C-hubs and you would have to grind on the 7075 one to make them clear properly. It helps if you take a Little grinder to the CVD pins and make a small notch in them to help the Set Screw lock into place. I'm sure that LSRC has the first run of those. the barrels on the left in your hand look to be the proper ones. Just make sure there is grub screws in one end of the barrels. He only taped one end of the barrels. Oh by the way, I have ran almost a gallon through my XB and show no signs of wear. There is some more cool stuff coming to the X-series Driveline from FLM, So keep an eye out. Hope to have a test set in a week or so.
