So frustrating. Seem like no matter what I do I can't play with my MT. Arrrghhh!

Ok so what's happening is the receiver or TX is acting very glitchy. As soon as the car is fifteen ft away looses connection and killswitch kicks in. I tried this by having the mt on a stand and walking away from it slowly and fails at same distance.

It's not the battery. Battery was charged and tried it with my buddy's battery same prob

I tried rebinding and successfully rebounded with same issue.

I can do donuts in front of me but as soon as she's 15ft away bam shut down!

Does any one think its the receiver or transmitter?

Does the fly sky automatically choose frequency?

Also when I did the test if walking away from it while on stand at around 10 feet it would start acting glitchy and not responding accurately to my commands then like a said. A few feet further and kill switch kid it.

Help me Obi One your my only hope! Lol

Is the engine running when you do the test? If so are you running a resistor plug? If thats not it try a new reciever, I have had a FS rec go bad...luckily they are cheap.

You may have a bad receiver. It sounds like your antenna wire might have came loose from the circuit board. The Flyskys are known for very good range.

Yeah the engine is running. What is a resistor plug? I'm hoping its the receiver. Oh yeah the transmitter has new batteries too. Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah I ran it before no prob know I'm having issues after rebuild. Also had same issue with kill switch removed. From what it seems sounds like receiver.

Here is a pic of receiver. Looks fine

Yeah it does look ok, mine the antenna wire was off where it went to the board. Try a new one they are cheap on RCX.

Haha. I knew someone would mention the PEZ!

Yeah I ordered a new receiver. More waiting :(

Question? One thing I did do was use a small zip tie to tidy up the slack servo wire. You know zig zagged it back and forth and zip tied it. Trying to create more room in the battery receiver box. Could this creat interference? Just wondering?

Thanks!

I don't think so. It sounds like a range issue. If you can trigger the kill switch at 15', it is an issue with the radio gear. Hopefully it's the receive so its an inexpensive fix.

Turns out it was a bad receiver. Finally got to run the MT. It's a concrete jungle out here. Real hard to find a place to run off road. That's why I'm running the Tarmacs. I have her running 2 wheel drive rear only. It's fun and she's doing some mean donuts! Got some of those short soccer cones to set up a little coarse. Braking is not on a dime because of two wheel drive but if you turn hard right or left while braking she dill stop on a quarter. Lol. It's actually pretty cool and fun. It's just for street purposes. When I go camping ill run 4x4 with hostile MX tires. Anyhoo thanks all for your help. It's time to go out and break it! Lol
