3 weeks ago I got a 1997 Ranger. I am thinking about turning it into a Rampage. My focus will be turning it into a prerunner style for jumping. The rangers can really catch some air. I joined therangerstation.com for some really great step by step build references. My dream mods in order are: electric fan conversion, cold air intake, bed/cab lift, wheels/tires, skidplates/bumpers, suspension lift, Rampage paint, 5.0 v8 engine swap. I don't know how far I can make it down the list but it could be a daily driver project build for under 10k. I plan on starting at the beginning end of 09 early 10. Any other ideas?

i got an idea hamster. take some medication couse your SICK!! :D you must have the rampage flu..lol.. i was wondering were you been. im not big into 1:1's so all that stuff boggles me mind. keep us posted on it. should be interesting.

No doubt there are a lot of better trucks but I am trying to make a daily driver that can jump well, has a tank average of 18+mpg, and is under $10,000 built. Im just looking at turning it into a cheap, fun, reliable, daily, driver project. Yeah if I built what I wanted it would be at least 60,000 (probably a toyota) and I don't have that!

Dezertrangers.com has classifieds with super deals on desert vehicles: buggies, trucks, atvs, etc all makes and models and they are cheap! Maybe I can buy a built Ford Rampage or Toyota Rampage so all I would need is paint.....And yes Rectum Rangers can make good prerunners. I am not partial to any makes or models just want a good truck for the $ I have.
