Okay fellas, unless I am a complete idiot....how the heck do ya get the front axle bearing holder off of the c block, or whatever the heck ya call it? I have the whole thing in my hand with only the top and bottom scews to go. All they do is spin? I cant get anything behind it to hold it because of the CVD. What am I missing?

Okay, here is what I did. May not be ideal, but I did what I had to do. First of all, my reason for taking them off was to install the 7075 bearing holders.

For lack of a better term in my head this morning. The pivot screws, top and bottom screw through the C block into the bearing holder. Since the stock bearing holder is plastic, there are metal inserts to screw into. Problem is, some of the factory threadlock is pretty strong, so that sleeve breaks loose from the plastic and spins. No way to get in behind to grab the insert.

My solution was to take a dremel and creatively cut enough of the bearing holder away that I could remove the axles and grab ahold of the sleeve with vice grips and use my electric impact to remove the screws. Try not to mess up the C Block. :)

I think I managed to jam a small screwdriver down the side of the pointed rectangular base of the semi captive nut/sleeve bit. They are a bit of a pig to get out, so its a good resion to fit the alloy bearing holders. (which I'm still waiting for...Got to love the UK costoms!!!!)
