Has anyone tried boots on the center diff dog bones? Seem like they should be greased. I can see wear patterns at about 7 tanks of fuel. Also there are titanium pins out there. As anyone tried these? I would love to see a full titanium drivetrain dog bones pins and cups. I plan on the 7hp OBR with Demons 2 speed to cause destruction on the stock drivetrain.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Will these fit the rampage?

I cant seem to get an answer as well my friend. Im looking at doing the same thing but im running stock and braking the drivetrain all the time.

TOOBZ won't fit, they're too big. Your best bet would be to get some steel tube and make your own, it's been done and they definitely help. If you make your own rings, you can run HPI boots. As far as the pins, I haven't run them but I am running the FLM pins and so far I've had no problems with them.

I'm currently running hpi boots and they fit snug. So I was hoping they might fit. I could make a set for a lot less $.

What size tube is required to make some rings. They would definitely need to be a tight fit to stay on. Is there any tricks to making them and installing them as well. Such as trying to freeze the cups and heating up the ring to slide or press them on.

They would only need to be snug enough to stay on. To tight and they would squeeze the cup, possibly cracking or bending it. The manufactured ones just get tapped on with a included tool.

My XBs cups are not round, I thought about chopped fiberglass- epoxy, just enough for the HPI boots to have a good fit.Would take some time - its an idea. I was regreasing the shaft- head on my weedeater the other day, I thought- this would be a good way to feed the power to our cars diffs and wheels. Swadged ends on the shafts- sealed- flexy-This would be hard to retrofit. I think it wauld be a good idea for a new company that might be thinking about getting into 1/5 th scale. Juat a passing thought.

Interesting idea. Come to think of if, I've never broke the drive mechanism on any gas hand held equipment, and they take a lot of abuse.
