Finished making the frame supports for the front and rear of my MT.


Just barely had enough daylight left so I could get in 10 minutes of driving


to do some tuning. Got the straps done a few days ago. :)

Tried to copy your design with my limited skills. It's a great mod and so cheap too,


$7 is what the flat iron cost me at Home Depot. Just wish I had a vise,


would have been easier to bend the metal with one...
 
I made the straps from material I cut off the DX7 transmitter neck-strap I no longer


needed...lol


It's very strong and holds the wheels no problem plus it was free!.... :D
 
LMAO.....I have a TX strap hanging on the wall in front of me........good thing I didnt get too close, it might have freakin bit me! :D

When you cut it make sure to burn the ends and holes you make so it


doesn't unravel. Make one hole first then mount that end and get a


good measurement so you don't make the second hole too close or too


far, take your time.... :)
 
Turned out perfect. heated my exacto and cut/melted the end of each one then used my soldering iron to make the holes. Thanks for the help. :D

that is ALL,boost bottle works in 600cc racingbike, for 23-30cc it works in theory only.

I could not tell you if they work. The truck came with them installed so I never


bothered to remove the bottles. This is my first 1/5th scale and I don't know


how they normally drive. The previous owner said it improved the idle and had


a smoother take-off with them on. My carb might need replacing soon so I'll


probably take the bottles off then.


I'm also getting a couple more trucks soon so I'll be able to tell the difference


with and without... :)

The straps are used to stop the shocks from fully extending whenever the


wheels are off the ground. That way they don't put unnecessary stress on


the part(forgot what it's called..lol) that holds the shaft in the shock body.


Between the weight of the wheels and pressure from the shock spring it can


be a decent amount of stress when you're jumping the truck all day long.


It's a simple mod that can save you cash on silly repairs. A couple places sell


cables that give it a little cleaner look but cost around $20-$30 but I'm too


cheap for that.... :D

It helps eliminate chassis flex, which is a bad thing. Alot of Rampages run side pipes that also mount to the chassis. When the chassis flexes it put stress on the headbolts and can pop a head gasket.
