Hiya people
I put a thread up about the 'Dead engine' got some great advise thanks, but what i'm on about is the gearing I used.It was a 24/40 on an MT and I tought it would be OK,ish but never dreamed of the effects it had.I used to run 10th scale off/on road cars and always got a bit of heat out of the motors and ESC's but to run gears like that on an MT was a little over the top! It was great at the start when I fired it up you could hear it struggle a bit and then when it hit mid revs it went like a rocket to top end!:),then after a few runs I bought it in and wow! you :nono:could fry an egg on the clutch bell!the heat was tremendous.Needless to say I will be putting the stock gears back on.
Is there any one out there that uses a different ratio that is good for acceleration and top end? If so can you advise me.
All the best.
J.

Two speed is the way to get the best of both worlds, otherwise the stock 48t is the best all round gearing because of the large wheels :)
