Well I got my Baja all back together after almost a year. Put a Zenoah 29 in it with a DDM Dom V2 pipe, got it all back together about 10:30pm. I started the engine in the garage and idled/light revved it ever few seconds for about 15 minutes last night until the Sheriff showed up and said it was too late to be making noise. (I live in a small town anyways)
Today I topped the tank back off and started driving it around slowly, ran awesome, good power in short bursts. Refilled the tank at about 1/2 empty and started tweaking the needles a bit, fouled the spark plug, no biggie. New plug and back running, then it started running funny. It ran good on the bottom end and about mid throttle but would cut out on more than half throttle.
I noticed bubbles in the yellow line, figured no big deal, its the return anyways. Thought maybe the fuel line had degraded over time and gotten some leaks so I went to put a new line in it, guess what? The YELLOW line was the feed, not the return. OOPS!
I put in the new black line that came with my Zenoah 29 with new filter and made the yellow line the return like it is supposed to be! All is good now, other than the brake fan rotor exploded, so now I am without brakes until new part arrives, Im back on the sideline again after 2 tanks on the new motor and clean/rebuild of my Baja! :-(
