Full Force RC have a little kit really set-up for the 5B, but that is supposed to relieve the possible crimping of the fuel lines coming out of the tank.
In for a penny ...
I bought one, then realised that with my (lightly? !!) used MT the grommet holes were a little large, and solved this simply by heating some fuel tubing in hot water, then sliding over the brass tubes that slide through the grommet holes into the tank. Result and great seal :)
When I contacted GGRC and mentioned the possible need to supply grommets also, I was showing my ignorance, which they clarified - not all grommets are the same. They're going to overcome this with a 2-piece tube that clamps through the grommet ... we'll see.
I like the idea, and even on mine, the black feed tubing was indeed crimped in slightly.
Truck goes like, basically every good condition FG MT - flies.

Hi Chris,
Didn't want to 'contaminate' the fuel, so I cut a length considered adequate, heated in hot water - if you're in Florida or California, just in the sunshine for an hour (don't get much here!!), then slid it over with a lot of assistance from my nails!! Tight fit.
Truck at least runs as before, if not faster. I'm a little more cautious than some so I may not even see the 'difference'!
(New custom painted body.)

Alan, on a positive note, if it took allot of assistance to slide the tubes on, they'll probably not come off easily, so there is little to no chance for an accident.
I use zip ties as an extra precaution or i've used small cut pieces of fuel tubing as well, but that is overkill.

BTW: are you from France?

I'm a scouser, but on the 'blue' side, living in sunny St Helens - don't laugh, I've actually seen some today!
Doesn't stop the truck doing donuts on tarmac, only going straight on the muddy grass! :(

Those were some pretty good jokes Trebor.

I really like what you did with the gromets and the metal. I have to do something similar to mine, as the fuel line keeps touching the pipe and melting it.

im not saying all scousers are like in the jokes:clown::clown:alan says

just a piece of 2mm alloy drilled with 2x8mm holes then bent with a couple

of 6mm nylon type grommets .....half a doller to make:clown::clown:
