Is it normal to open the gas cap and hear a vacuum sound, like air going in?

Sounds Like the vent hole in the cap is blocked.thgstang said:Is it normal to open the gas cap and hear a vacuum sound, like air going in?

Good one Racetruck,I am sold.racetruck said:that is one thing on the to do list you need to vent the gas cap you need to find a fitting for a fuel line. we use the ones that go into the exhust of the nitro cars it is threaded on one end and a hose barb on the other end drill the hole smaller than the thread of the fitting and thread it into the hole in your gas cap then get some fuel line tubing and a inline fuel filter and install it some thing like the pic below.
