i hade a regular head gasket on my engine and it bluw out so its was al melted now i replace it with a copper gasket now do i have to put both gaskets or just the copper one now i also notice that the piston on the top was like if it got burn all black now is this normal or maybe the gasket melted to the piston because now it will not turn on i turn on when everything was put together but out off nowhere it just turn off and wont turn on no more:mad:

Run the regular paper gasket , make sure you seal it with permatex 309 or equivalent sealer, and tourque your bolts to 68 in lbs.

The Copper will work but you need to aneal it and also put a sealewr on it too. I found the paper ones very good once I started running sealer.

Copper ones usually get the cyl to high and lose some of the piston Squish.

The color of the top of the piston can normally get black especially if you run pump gas and fossil oil.

If it is blackening down past the ring groove then you need t o check the cyl . for pitting or scratches.
