gear cover question

I am ordering metal gears can I use a non vented cover?

I wouldnt use the gear cover.......the steel gears get really hot, and you will end up cooking your bearings ......☻

I took my cover off bought new gears/shafts/the aluminum blocks/bearings no probs at all with it now 1Gal of fuel on the set up now no cover. and all gears are plastic but one.

I have factory gears in my MT. Do I use the gear cover or not? Does anyone make holes and vent them?

for the plastic gears yeah run that cover but don't go crazy when you vent the cover! I did and tiny rocks killed my gears. Drill tiny holes

I was thinking about running steel gears with the cover on and sealing it up


with rtv/evenbead and then have a hole drilled on the top of the gear cover that a small rubber stopper... so no leaks and partially fill it up with lube and of coarse blue locktite the nuts on the gears

I run a cover just so the track marshalls don't lose fingers LMAO
