Hi guys,

finally i have mi losi dbxl, and today i installed the kill switch and the outerwears covers. I had to remove the engine, but when i put it back, i noticed that you can move it to adjust the gear mesh of pinion and the center diff.

How can i set the correct gear mesh?

It takes two one to hold truck on its side and hold motor and one to spin spur gear and adjust gear mesh
If you get it to tight you will here it

Never easy.
Not familiar with this truck other than Forums.

Generally, the gap is 'one firm business card', so close in firm on a business card and check over complete rotations to counter for 'out of round' spurs / pinions.

I just adjusted by mvoing the engine and did rotations to find hard spots.

Today im doign the break in, but i have a doubt. I have the losi pipe for the dbxl.

Do you recomend to do the break in with the stock one, or with the losi tuned pipe?

Also, if doing it with the tuned pipe, will i have to adjust the needles? or leave it as recomended at 1 1/2 and 1 1/4?

I'd do tuned pipe they make motor run cooler as a rule
It won't take much of adjustment to get it right once it starts and is up to temp open up low speed till the idle slows down if it idles fast it's lean it will also make it hard to start if to lean
then the high speed if it sounds crisp and takes fuel easy it's to lean it should take a while to reach top speed
I'd set both needles at 1 1/4 just don't tighten them down to far just snug and then out just rember there is no magic number for carb adjustment it will be one thing at sea level and different at altitude
After you get it running you can lean it out a little at a time just remember listen to it if it sounds mean it lean

Yep keep it fat for a few tanks and ease into tuning for performance I never started my 23 a TR/ OBR reed case went right in and with the turtle filter box I have nothing sticking out the side of the truck. She's bad ass ripped the tires right off it had to use HD screws and glue to keep them on plus taping them and the foams. Don't rush it
