Gear plate shims

Hey guys I need to get shims for my gearplate and don't know what ones I need. Thanks

For the shafts on gearplate and the shims ho between bearings and the gears

The gear plate shafts are 8mm. So shims with an inside diameter of 8mm will work.

McMaster to the rescue!

Consider picking up a pack of 50 replacement dogbone/ CVD pins...

they are 4x20mm, work great, slightly tapered end makes no difference.

I've only used the Torx method. If you heat it up, it'll come out easier.

I've never had much luck with the tiny easy outs. They tend to just break.

Heat will always melt the locktite. A tapped in torx driver normally has enough grip.

I'm hoping to get to that later! See what I can do I need to get myself a better tool set. Plus the stock screws are so poopy

The stock screws are a bit soft. When ever I remove one I try to replace it with a stainless replacement.

The RCScrewz kits are stainless. Which is pretty soft. They're meant more for corrosion resistance, than strength.
