gearing for MT V3s?

I've decided to swap out the monster tires for some sc wheels with rodeo tires


how will the stock gearing work with the new tires?


I prefer bottom end punch over top end but a little added speed with a strong take off would be cool

The stock setup for the mt is great for punch but if you flip it to 35 /25 you will need smaller wheels like 5b size . I GPS my xb tonight with 35/25/26/24 gears and hit 46.2 mph on bow-ties before all the teeth stripped off the gears . 31-29-26-24 is a good all around setup! I will be going back to that if I can't find a belt drive soon.

what gears do the MT V3's come with?

belt drive also sounds interesting,wonder if they're more hassle than good? haven't read too much about them

I believe the MT comes with 25-35-25-25 gears because of the size of the tire it has on it. Many on this forum run the belt drive and love it. Less weight and less heat build up.

I like the idea of havin less gears to worry about and the slop it eliminates

how do you like it in comparison to the gear drive ie bottom end,top end?

any heating issues with the belt after 2 or 3 tanks?
