Whats a good single speed gearing for a MT. I think i wanna go to a single speed so i can bash hard. The two speed works better with stadium size tires imo.

From what I have heard. Cat5 is great but you still need a standard type carrier. They are way more expensive too and in my opinion not worth the money.

The above gearing stock on the MT will be the 14t one. The 16t comes from a mixture of the ST and MT gearing to give the MT a bit more top end. That is good with a strong motor. With a stock motor use the 14t.

ok, should i go stock plastic stuff of steel. I have a 28.5 motor thats going in it. Might bump it up to a 30.5

Its half and half. Some say use a all metal except the large spur to keep a weak link. I use ALL steel and love it. The outdrives are my weak link, but then again others have broke an outdrive with plastic too. :D

MPO. You will hate spinning out plastic gears and will switch eventually.

The low ones from above. 14t. And thank you..:D
I think I could go with the 16T and get a bit more top end with no big low end difference but not too sure... Easy and cheap enough to try out.

you might wanna check this steel spur gear made by FG part number FG06493. I got mie just recently @ fgsupply.com. call them if it says out of stock in there website because it might not be updated. when I ordered mine it said out of stock. I called them and they have it.

Both of you guys are right cheaper at fgsupply. Ill place an order in the morning. Should I use the cat5 16t cause ddm has them on sale or use a fg 16?

The best gears on the market, no grub screws required and no carrier needed, with the broached type gears, also a lot lighter than the cat5 type

look out for the 3 speed and 2 speed baja set ups:2guns:

oh yeh i forgot no grub screws. how irratating it is when u're reving up and not going nowhere reeely fast, only to find out ur shaft's come a loose. these gears are the poop.
