Like others... my gears are slipping.. I understand I need to replace the engine mount(s). I see most people are are replacing the top piece.. however, the part I ordered is the L shaped bracket.

1 piece meinbau_0001 Large alloy engine mount for Carson / Smartech offroad cars, y0142 - 1pce.

EUR 41.00 EUR 41.00

Did I get the wrong one?

PS... how do I get the dam pinion off? :)

while your at it get a small mount as well
can you undo the grub screws on your pinion ? its probly burred over and need a little help getting it off i have used a screw driver in the past and lightly pry'd on all sides while spinning the pinion it will pop off

I have had the large mount for a while. I finally got it installed.. going to need a new 14t pinion and ring gear... the teeth are hacked. What is the easiest way to get out the diff?

Take off the cage. Remove the top rear arms. Remove the rear parts until the diff is able to be lifted out. BUT, I would remove the motor and everything to do the motor screen upgrade and silicone upgrade. They cost almost nothing and will save needed disassembly in the future.

Below are some pics... You can see how the gears got f'd from the plastic motor mount flexing. The new alloy mount is very nice.

Sorry forgot the screen idea.

You would buy some type of window screening metal or otherwise. Use a sealant to seal it over the holes on the back side of the motor. I used a sealant called ZAPII you can get at the hobby store. Here are some photos of Slawhammers.
