"" I NEED GEARS"" I purchased an obr motor and need gears to open up my dbxl.I max out at an blink of an eye.I know it's new and I've been all over the inner web looking for the gears.Can anyone out there help me find'em or have heard any release date on some.......

Losi should be releasing a pinion set (19t & 21t) later this month! I've got a set on preorder.
 
I'm running the 21 on my Reed case 30.5, Turtle Air filter system with the baja filter elements, I love it, out of the way of front wheel spray, can pound through the deepest puddles and mud with out an issue, the 3rd one came today so all my rigs will be setup the same way, 960 carbs no choke peace gents

I'm using stock dbxl air filter on obr 7.5 hp and not sure on the carb.It's the carb that obr motor came with.I built my own exhaust.I've been running the type motors for years and the adjustments are perfect.If you have any to add,I'll surely listen.I was just tring to say that it hits top speed,fast.It's 100% under geared.I was just wondering if theirs any out there.I got another reply saying Losi has them coming out.I'll check it out
 
Ok, I will be keeping an eye out for gears as well as I would like to try different options for the track. For now, throw the stock inner portion of the filter in the garbage and replace it with the 5ive-t inner. I was disappointed with the power (or lack of) on my 28.5 OBR/Bartolone piped vehicle, until I changed the inner filter out & let the thing breathe, what a difference!
 
So Cal if you tried out the Turtle system with the baja element you would be floored with the change in preformance, and the best part is the filter is out of the way of the crap coming off the front tires, and the surface area of intake air is about trippled. I have it on all 3 of my scalers, the difference is just unbelievable and it shows in how much tuning it takes after install. only had to remove a couple of bars on the side of the cage for a perfect fit, no effect to the body. Dude I was running in mud and puddles that would have wiped out a side filter, the truck was covered in mud and the filter was clean and dry. That is the 2 main plus's preformance and location. for 69 bucks I don't know of any hop up that gives so much change in power and the ability to go through anything and not harm the motor, just my .02 Good luck.

Could you list the parts you have for your whole airfilter setup? Maybe a pic?
