Basically aluminum brake hubs got stuck in gear and looks like they starting to melt. This is second time this happened to me.

Have this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you solve it?

I can drill aluminum hub out but how to prevent this in future?

Also I am running my tt without gear cover so gears are being cooled but still get hot.

Also they way aluminum hub mounts on shaft doesn't look good after maybe good 5 galons. Maybe we can ask redcat to make those in hex form?

Anyway I will try to get few reinforced metal hubs to see how it goes.

Put it in the freezer for a few hours.
Thanks :) This time didn't have to drill it out.

Now how about preventing this in future? Go back to plastic gears?

one thing what will help a little is aluminium gear mount, and check the bearings

original gear mount bearings with metal gears wont last more than 3-5 tanks after that they are dry from inside and that means overheat,if you use aluminium gear mount it works also like cooler for bearings and clutch.if you don't want plastic gears try mcd metal gears they are much lighter and little better vented.

I have aluminum gear mount and it gets pretty hot as well, along with clutchbell. I replaced bearings when was replacing gearmount.

I might get my hands on mcd gears but dunnu yet for sure.

But thanks, anyway.
