Getting closer. Engine runs better when it first starts up.

I know someone had mentioned I should replace my gaskets due to the engine problems I am having.

Does this new bit of information help any?

This is the second time I have noticed this. Start engine up after a couple pulls, let it idle and go slow for about a minute, floor it and it takes off like a bat. But about a minute later its bogging on the top end again.

It sounds like you are running lean... When the engine is cold the fuel doesn't vaporize in the combustion chamber very efficiently. It should be a little poppy and rough when cold, then it will smooth out when it heats up.

If it runs really well when it's cold, then as the motor warms it falls on it's face, that's telling you it's lean.

I would imagine, it's ether way too lean (carb settings) or you have an air leak..

Get the motor fired up and spray some wd40 around the head gasket and carb gaskets. (check the carb screws too, make sure they are tight) If the rpm changes, you have a bad gasket, which equals an air leak.

Do you have any oil goop dripping anywhere? Or areas on the motor, that are alot more dirty than the rest of the car? That would suggest, there is an oil spray and the dirt is sticking to it.

...Make sure you fuel lines are flowing properly, the pick-up is actually sitting in fuel and you lines are hooked up correctly. The feed line is on the BOTTOM of the carb (the same line that has the filter on it)

Did you find out if it's a 2 or 3 bolt head? If it's a 3 bolt, you may just be wasting your time.
