Bit of a long shot here but If you buy new most car dealers will give you a year free insurance.By the time the years up you will have 40% NCD,worth a try .

Buy an old banger for your 1st car mate. Cheaper insurance & you only start learning to drive properly when you have passed your test & get out on your own so it wont matter too much about the odd scrape.

my uncle is a big guy he used the cougar for a summer car and it just sits in his garage
because hes got a bad back, hes got the s-max st atm coz its easyer for him

and the cougar has only done 6.000 miles ish so if i do sell it how much will it be worth?

It's one of those 'it's worth as much as you can get for it'.
The mileage is very low, for a 10-12 year old (??) car.
If it's been well maintained, and used regularly then that's fine, but there are many people who avoid super low mileage beasts, as things rot, rust, and bind.
Spend some time on Autotrader, etc., checking out similar ones and see what they go for.
Best of luck,
Al.
