getting started on the tt

Hey guys nice forums its my first time on the rc world :blush: and i bought a redcat rampage tt to start with badass car :D :2guns: i got the v2 from ddm with the free pipe and i got the 4.25+ engine so could you tell me what are other stuff you think its nessery to put or change ?
is there any sand buster tires for the rampage? dose the baja tire fit?
i though i would save some mony and buy an airplane 6 chanel radio or the pistol grip car radio is better ?:helpsmilie:
 
Hey mmbk, there are quite a few parts you can put on there.

Here is some things I did to mine:

First things to get:
1) killswitch from http://www.killerrc.com
This will allow you to kill the rc from the transmitter if you get a runaway. A 25 pound car running full speed at a curb, a person, a building, a car, etc. is scary. It's happened to me and other guys on here. This is the best insurance you can get

2) get a Futaba 3 channel pistol grip unless you aren't comfortable with a pistol grip. A 2.4ghz is the best to go with, like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXRL8&P=ML

3)Baja tires and rims will work perfectly. I run Hostile AT tires (see www.davesmotors.com for sand busters, also use the code LSF if you order from them for 5% off) To run them on your TT, you just need 2 sets of these, one set for the front, one for the back. I would strongly recommend ordering from plcman1 on ebay. He has kick ass prices on Baja stuff: Link

Hopefully this will get you started. Check out www.redcatrampageforum.com for a ton more info. A lot of the guys here are over there. Lots of different mods and suggestions!

Didnt see this mentioned but you need 4 x HPI wheel hexes (direct fit) to run HPI wheels/tires. HPI are 24mm, redcat are 22mm
 
cool thx just have a qustion cuse the tt is 4x4 is it better to get normal sets
of tiers or a couble of back tires not for the sand buster but for other tiers as well?
