Hey there,

I am having a issue with my radio.. Turning on the radio, and turning on the car, my throttle servo twitches constantly. What is causing this? This is doing this without the motor running. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Have a GTB Fly Sky. Thanks in advance, and have a great day.

is it a aftermarket digital servo,,, I am running a hitec 7954 digital servo for brakes/ throttle,,, it sits and glitches all the time,, very annoying, called hitec,, they say if don't affect anything, and u cant hear it when its running,, ,, its just normal,,, the servos deadband is trying to find center,,, so it keeps moving very slightly back and forth,, have read of people going in with a digital programmer and calming it down or eliminating the glitching,, hasn't been a issue for me, works great,, run cable front brakes too on my king motor,,, so wanted the extra torque

Does it keep at it if your remove the throttle/brake arm? I just killed a Hitec 7945th after having set the throttle return spring incorrectly. The spring forced the servo to constantly fight the tension and the result was white smoke out of the servo :(

I had it set the same way all of last season so it took some time before it happened. Expensive lesson...

I dunno what receiver pack your running but I solved this on my marder by changing from 2500mah to a 3500mah

Hey Hendo,
The receiver pack is what came with the car. Everything is new. I will have to look further into that.
Thanks

No its not a digital servo. It is the stock servo that came with the car.
You are right about it being very annoying....
It just seems like it is picking up interference some where.

Thanks for your input

Hey there Johan,

It does keep doing it after I remove the throttle/brake linkage...
I have been thinking about this alot... Iam wondering if my transmitter settings are correct? going to mess around with the settings today to see if anything changes.

Thanks for your input..

Ok, so the servos installed in any of the clones aren't very good to begin with and cheap servos often try to find center. There are some gems out there but I usually go for Savöx as they've worked very well for me in the past. They're power hogs though so that's something to take in to consideration.

As for your problem. Does the servo keep twitching if you try it away from any WiFi devices? What happens if you put the throttle servo in the other channel (steering)? Still twitching?

I agree with Johan ^....more likely servo is bad. If glitches in steering port than you know. If doesn't than plug steerng servo in throttle port and if steering servo twitches than maybe rec at fault.

Hey again, I switched throttle with steering, then the steering glitch. does that mean that the servo is bad? This is a brand new buggy. Never even started yet...:w00t:

If the steering serrvo os twitching in the same way as the throttle servo when plugged into the throttle channel there's most likely something amiss with the radio.

I would reset all the settings and re-bind the receiver. If that doesn't help it's either the receiver that's broken or it could be the potentiometer of the throttle trigger that's not 100% ok. I have an older version of the FlySky radio where the trigger pot isn't working ok so the throttle is a bit erratic. That radio is hooked up to an ESC so it's not as noticeable as it is when a servo's connected on that channel.
