Any thoughts anyone?
If you say it looks ungainly and too wide, I agree.
Heavy it is, but with the LRP ZR.30 Spec2 it has no problem pulling max revs, and as the rolling circumference is VERY slightly reduced - diameter is perhaps 0.3" smaller, it maxes out in top gear within 50-60 yards !!!

I'm looking into changing the gearing, at least for 2nd gear.

I'm onto RC4WD to see if they can produce a reduced offset wheel.

I certainly like the look of the rims and tires. sure it's wide but still looks cool. is there even enough room on the rims to get the c hub inside? looks pretty tight as it sits

I 'believe' that C-hub will fit inside, up until the steering rods, so if I owned my own engineering shop like Trebor or Vass, I could consider something!!
I don't think there's much I can do with these wheels, but I do have a 2x 550 Kershaw designs powered Juggernaut2 with Traxxas EVX2 ESC and twin LiPo with ESP stretched rod suspension onto which these look fine.

RC4WD state THEY MAY consider something for me, but contact them in a couple of months as they've a lot of projects on the go at the moment !!!

I reckon I can DECREASE by 1cm each side IF I can locate C-hub screws with FLAT heads - called shoulder screws I believe but am yet to locate the correct dimension. This is where the limitation is.
I've 'won' a set of similar for the TXT-1 as a trial - not certain of their dimensions but it may give me a possibility.
1cm PER SIDE would make a lot of difference, perhaps psychologically to me if nothing else.

I am getting used to it. It's actually a much larger scale similar aspect to the Micro Raminator I have !!! Very stable as you say, but it's never had a problem with stability anyway!

The rolling circumference is little changed, but perhaps it's the 'new' ZR.30 Spec2 that's fully broken in now as it maxes in 2nd gear within perhaps 60-80 feet !!!
I'm looking into higher gearing, despite the increased weight.

That's the problem.
If it's a button head, the head will hit the inside of the beadlock, as the inner diameter is perhaps 1/4" smaller than original.
I've bought these, which will give me something to go on. It's a very long shot, and I don't expect 'miracles', but here's hoping !!

The flat of these is perfect.

I'm going with plan 'C' for now, and replace the original wheels - already done.
The LST2 already has quite a wide stance as it is, so it's naturally very stable.

The alloys can be used 'for special occasions' and will probably go onto the Juggernaut.

The initial problem was that I use all LST2 gear, but the Ram has 14mm hexes, so I had to use the Losi conversion kit.

I hadn't realised, basically until recently that one main reason the Ram wheels are wearing / breaking is because the LST2 shafts stick out (or DID until I hacksawed them off last weekend !!!) proud of the Losi hex kit, thus when you tighten the nut on the wheels, you're digging the axle into the back of the wheels, weakening them.

This is all sorted now.
I just had a blast this morning with the alloys on, and then replaced with the 'standard' Raminator ones.
I have to admit I love the look of the alloy wheels, but I much prefer the stance and overall appearance with the standard ones on.

Apart from that, and with softish suspension, I mentioned it's maxxing the revs in 2nd VERY quickly, but now it's now wheelying without problem.

I've got a high speed TiNi gear set on it's way to compensate as I never like hearing a truck screaming at max revs within a few seconds and having to hold it there.

I did a max speed run, and looked ahead to ensure the path was clear, then when I looked back (all happening within a couple of seconds of course) I saw a 'fire breathing, wheelying monster' on it's back wheels, as if it was smiling at me for returning to original !!
The LRP ZR.30 Spec2 motor now with 10 tanks or more in may have something to do with it !!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
That is one BEAST of a motor !!!

Damage limitation is required !!!
Integy or not, a Wheelie Bar is on it's way !!
Heavy Duty for Integy means usable and not totally disposable (I hope) !!
It's mounted outside the existing skid plate, so will add extra strength to the already strong truck - and some weight (which I admit may unsettle it further) but if it can keep the truck running straight, albeit without steering, that's an advance.

When I leaned off a little (low's still a little rich, high is OK I reckon), and accelerated more gently then hit it, it wheelied on changing into 2nd gear !!

LRP ZR.30 Spec2 - great motor !!
